Direct Link UK was established in late 2017 by Thomas Aat. It started with one refrigerated van able to take three pallets and one ton of weight, based out of Havant.
The business soon took off and in 2018 he was approached by Tim Jones who came on board as the Operations Director.
Another vehicle was acquired and the pair then were able to use their extensive knowledge and experience to grow the business successfully and Direct Link Uk acquired Road Runner Dispatch in 2020, which has been trading for over 30 years and is well known throughout the UK.
They were then able to take the business to new heights. They employed a number of drivers and expanded our vehicle fleet. During the same year, COVID-19 broke out across the nation and the world.
Direct Link Uk was needed now more than ever as demand for fresh produce went through the roof! Thomas, Tim and their band of merry drivers worked all hours to ensure their customers were able to meet all their orders.
During 2022 the team has grown with the addition of George Brown our transport planner and Charlotte Dipans as Accounts Manager. We have also welcomed several new drivers to keep up with our customer demands and continue to provide a high level of service.
They expanded further when they bought Kool Trailers Hire Ltd (now rebranded as Cold Fleet Trailers). The ability to hire out refrigerated and frozen trailers was a real benefit to many new customers and some existing ones.
